Something really tickled me the other day... Chris plays at weddings as an official classical guitarist.

One of his recent bookings requested that he play Time of Your Life. Now I may do it with a slightly optimistic "I'll bounce back from this" approach... but the official title includes the phrase Good Riddance.

I wonder if the bride knew this..?

We had a recording session the other night for Acoustic Moods. When the three of us (me, Chris and Dan) all get in the room together it's probably one of the most relaxed and fun working environments I've ever known.

ME: <presses record>

CHRIS: <starts playing>

... 10 seconds later

ME: <presses stop recording>

ME: Any chance you could play it again with... confidence?

Had another night of mixing with Chris on his album and general catch up. There was - as typical - some humour...

ME: "Lordy I feel rough still, must have the post cold blues"

CHRIS: "The PostCode blues?"

ME: "There's a song in that! Especially in today's housing market."

Imagine being stuck in an area with the neighbours from hell and unable to move... the postcode blues. Then again must be awful living next to someone who's always playing their guitar and recording music. (!)

Translation: I have the sinuses from hell! 

The whole band was together for one of Chris' solo tunes today... this can mean only one thing; a ribbing!

"We need a ting, ting cymbal sound Tony"
"Hey, it's Ting, Ting Tony!"
"That's not my name(!)" 
"Does that make me Ding Dong Dan?"
"I'm worried what you'll of begining with C / K for Chris!" 

What a great night recording. Still working on the next Acoustic Moods album... 2/3rds of the way through the final track! It's called 4G by a friend... why G? Well his wife is called Gwen... everybody saw awwwww. And it predates Torchwood!

On a personal level this is the first time I'm recording both my new 12x and old 6x string guitar, quite curious to see how they blend. That's the idea for the general 'sound' of my solo album #2. :-D

It wouldn't be a recording session without a few dirty jokes, DAN: "[Tony] just keep that pulse going with your right hand, you should have lots of practise at that after being single for a while!" The more things change... 

As per usual, rehearsal with Chris and Dan for our group project (Acoustic Moods) ended in none stop laughter tonight! Adlib lyrics ahoy!
"No I just can't seem to get you from my mind...
what's your name?"

"How does this song go?"

"I'm not speaking to you, picking holes in my bass line!"

"Apparently there really is a sh!t creek in Amercia"
"Well this album isn't up it yet!"
